Sharkbite Participates in a Successful SDG Kick-off
On Monday I participated in the first Sustainability Congress in Munich (1. Münchner Nachhaltigkeitskongress) initiated by the Munich-based initiative for Sustainability (MIN).
It was a great kick-off for a new event series concerning sustainability topics. During the day, politicians, economic experts and citizens were in constant dialogue – focusing mainly on the question of: What can we really do right now?
This question was addressed in mini-workshops and nine focused working groups resulting in concrete suggestions for taking action. I participated in the topic “Sustainable Development of the City” which I enjoyed immensely. My biggest take away was learning the complexity of the different requirements of each of the interest groups, which interfere with each other and make it almost impossible to develop a “master plan” for a sustainable city! So my suggestion to the stakeholders was to use the lean startup approach - build, measure and learn.
All in all, I want to thank the organizers from MIN who will drive the sustainability topic further in Munich and beyond – and I look forward to the next event!
